YAM 8th anniversary
LifeSaver: Hope
With amazing food, wonderful company, heartfelt sharings & God’s awesome presence; the YAMmers had a fantastic time fellowshipping with brothers and sisters in Christ, listening to the word of God.
Gavin Tan shared about his life, and the struggles he faced growing up but he never abandoned the HOPE he had in his life.
Ng Ker Yew shared about meeting Alex (her fiance) and how God continually gave her HOPE throughout the ups and downs of her relationship with him
Aunty Susan went on to share about her life experience over the past 4 years – how God moulded her to the person she is now. Ready to take her place as the chairwoman for prayer and intercession. She recounted how God had never forsaken her despite the major difficulties she faced, despite her depression. God is indeed awesome (:
Thank You everyone for being there & continually thank God for all the HOPE he has given us!

To get there, you may use these instructions as a guide:
These bus numbers go to the bus-stop at which you should alight (one stop from Bedok MRT).
Alight at the bus-stop outside this playschool!
Walk on the path next to the play school. The map seen on the left reads “Opera Estate”.
Walk until you reach this little brown shelter (a 5-minute walk).
You will see this street sign opposite the brown shelter. Walk down Norma Terrace and you will soon reach the place we’re at!

Anyhow, the exact address you can find on the map is
9 Saraca Drive, and buses coming here is 70, 86, 163 and 854.
70 comes from yio chu kang mrt and serangoon mrt (in different directions).
86 comes from amk.
Car shuttling will require you to meet at 1pm at yiochukang mrt. do sms 93202657 (colleen) if you will be late.

YAM Retreat 2009: Live Laugh Love!
Hello YAMmers/ older YAMmers/ friends,
I hope you’ve seen the posters around church and wondered what this was all about!(:
Once again, the time has come for us to take just a day off to spend it amongst our fellow sisters and brothers in Christ- our annual YAM Retreat! In line with current 40 Days of Community, this is a call for us as a ministry to fellowship as one, and in the process to form relationships that would last eternally(: Your presence will surely be to us, the committee, a source of encouragement, so please come!:D
You must be wondering what there is lined up for the day, and the details, so here it is:
Theme: Live Laugh Love
Date: 6th June 2009 (Saturday)
Venue: Colleen’s @ 9 Saraca Drive (North East, near Jalan Kayu, nearest MRT Yio Chu Kang)
Time: 1pm-8pm
Attire: Casual shorts
What to bring: Yourself and interesting boardgames you’d like to share!
What: A time of rest and bonding, games and fun with God’s word!
(includes movies, games, and words of encouragement we will be giving each other(: and GOOD FOOD!:D)

In addition, our committee would very much like to extend this invite not only our current YAMmers, but also the older ones, if you would like to visit! Friends are always, always welcomed, be sure they would be well tended to and befriended- but remember to introduce them to the others!
Just as you set aside this day to rest and “live laugh love” with the ministry, I’m sure God will grant all of us a stronger ministry that would move mountains in time to come. His kingdom will come as we learn to have a heart for our very own ministry.(:
